Kale Eatery in Toronto

Posted in Restaurants by karoumy on May 26, 2011

Kale Eatery is one of the better healthy vegan restaurants in Toronto. It’s also an oasis since vegan options dwindle north of Dupont.

Kale is a pay-by-weight buffet. The food is fresh, never greasy and there’s always a good variety. I’ve gone overboard a few times filling up my plate, but usually a good portion is around $10. It’s all organic so don’t be surprised if you’re paying a little more for a plate.

There are a few dishes that are bland, but a couple visits and you’ll know what to avoid. They have a tofu sauce on the buffet that is good to get in case you accidentally pick up a bland dish.

Pictured above: Lentil Sheppard’s pie, bean stew, sweet potato, curry tofu, ginger tofu, steamed broccoli and kale, beet salad and a pierogi.

I can’t find their hours online, I usually go for lunch. I believe they close at 8pm.
